The couple spent over an hour with their two kids, and checking the time, it was just after 8 PM, still early. Since it was Sunday the next day, there was no work to worry about. As they settled into the car and Lu Jingchen was about to start the engine, Song Qiao, holding a cup of milk tea, spoke up, "Jingchen, I want to go see my brother..."

Lu Jingchen instinctively tightened his grip on the steering wheel and glanced at Song Qiao, slightly furrowing his brow, "It’s so late, what are you going to do?"

"Tan Shuya and Murong Rui are with my brother, right?" Song Qiao answered with a question.

Lu Jingchen heard this and pressed his lips together without speaking.

Seeing Lu Jingchen’s reaction, Song Qiao immediately knew the answer. She tugged at the corner of her mouth, revealing a faint smile, and said, "Anyway, now I’m awake and nothing’s really wrong, so it’s a good time to resolve the issues between me, Tan Shuya, and Murong Rui. Lu Jingchen looked at Song Qiao, finding her coyness impossible to resist, and didn’t refuse her at all. He simply nodded and started the car, heading towards Nan Moyan’s villa.

Nan Moyan wasn’t asleep yet; they usually stayed up late. When he received Song Qiao’s call, he was dealing with some work. Upon hearing she wanted to come over, he immediately set his work aside and quickly walked to the door.

As Nan Moyan came downstairs, they were at the most thrilling part of the movie. Suddenly hearing a voice behind them scared everyone into a shiver, not that their boss was terrifying, but because the sudden intrusion of a voice amidst the scary movie music startled them.

All of them turned around and immediately saw Nan Moyan standing there with his brows furrowed. They promptly stood up and respectfully greeted him, "Boss."

Nan Moyan swept his gaze over them without saying anything, then suddenly focused on the table ahead, noticing it was piled with various snacks, looking messy. His eyebrows furrowed instantly, and he spoke in a deep voice, "What’s with these snacks? And why haven’t you cleaned up this trash? Get it sorted out now, don’t wait for me to say it again."

The young ones immediately started cleaning up as fast as possible.

Xiao Ye, still holding a bag of chips, subconsciously swallowed and looked up at their boss, nervously asking, "Boss, is something happening? Is someone coming over?"

Nan Moyan came down and glanced at the chips Xiao Ye was holding. Though he disapproved of this brat eating junk food, he remembered the kid was still growing and needed to eat more, so he didn’t say anything. Instead, he answered, "Yes, Song Qiao and Lu Jingchen are coming over, so keep an eye out."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Ye’s eyes instantly lit up, and he eagerly asked, "Boss, is Sister Qiao coming to prepare us some midnight snacks?"

Since once tasting Song Qiao’s cooking, Xiao Ye found no one else’s food matched her deliciousness.

He always hoped for another chance to have Sister Qiao’s cooking, but never got the opportunity.

So hearing from the boss that Song Qiao was coming, Xiao Ye’s first thought was if there would be good food again.
